Concern Troll
In an argument (usually a political debate), a concern troll is someone who is on one side of the discussion, but pretends to be a supporter of the other side with “concerns”. The idea behind this is that your opponents will take your arguments more seriously if they think you’re an ally. Concern trolls who use fake identities are sometimes known as sockpuppets.

I’ve never liked the concern troll label, to easy to just dismiss someone you don’t agree with by saying they are a concern troll, but take it for what it’s worth.

Killgore Trout has been called a troll by lizards who don’t like his views. I have been called a troll for the same reasons. It doesn’t made it correct. KT could call lots of other people trolls on here but it’s not true either. There have been troll on here but they tend to not last very long. Flinging names on here doesn’t help civil debates, it just makes a person look like a fool.
