Exactly. I work for one of the big banks/mortgage companies and we never had any issues with capital - we have been originating and funding loans throughout this “crisis”. Granted, the guidelines have stiffened up, but none of my customers had issues with providing documentation for their income and assets, even the self-employed ones. They realize this has made us all go back to the way loans were supposed to be given - based on your income/asset/credit profile.
