I think many things President Bush did were laudatory, especially post 9/11. I think that in his last year or so he took his eye of the ball. TARP was (imho) 100% necessary. We can argue about what CAUSED the failures, but to not allow the banks/ lending institutions/ insurance companies in this country fail was the correct thing to do.

Then come Obama. We need to FIX the existing health care system but before we do that we have to IDENTIFY the problem. The “working number” is now 50 million! Lets say I’m skeptical.

Also, the stimulus is a HUGE mistake. I could continue (with both) if you care

The problem is clearly identified to anyone who cares to look. Not enough people have insurance (whatever the number is, it’s too high). Of those people who do have insurance, they pay far too much for it. And even those who can afford it find that when they actually make claims, their claims are denied because of insurance company shenanigans.

As far as the stimulus, it has certainly been a success at steadying state budget shortfalls (one of the main goals, although less hyped). As well as creating economic growth, as evidenced by this piece in the WSJ. online.wsj.com
