(why do I the feeling that the “alternate” prom is mostly white, well-off and full of jocks and cheerleaders? Yeah, high school was a bitter experience for me, why do you ask?)

IMNSHO Prom was a night for the “haves” to point at us “outcasts & losers” and remind us, once again, how much high school sucked. I get her point and I support her lawsuit because these schools in the South need to be pulled into the 21st century, but my advice to her is to do like Beth Ditto and get the hell out as soon as she can.
Take that scholarship and shake the dust of that small town off her feet and never look back. (except to visit family and go to her class reunion and shove her successful happy life in the face of her classmates. no I don’t attend class reuions either…if I did not like this people when I was a teenager why would I want to waste time with them now?)
