I can only hope that there are plans being made in the background that we don’t yet know about.

What statement would you suggest that would not enhance the perception that the pirates have a high profile hostage or interfere with the FBI negotiators ?
A kick ass and take names speech should come AFTER the captain is safe. Now, it’s better to go about regular business and let the military do there job.
