I wonder what’s going to happen if there’s a real international crisis. Not something minor, but full-on, full-blown.

Hypothetical: Trump follows through on Tillerson’s advice and blockades those artificial islands China’s been busy with in the South China Sea. Naturally, to China, this is an act of war. Things get hinky real fast and China responds with a volley of 3M-80MBE anti-ship missiles (which, the last time I checked, we have no real defense against - and someone here please correct me if I’m wrong on that one) and sinks four or five USN ships (and let’s up the ante and include a US aircraft carrier for this hypothetical).

Now, Trump’s got a real crisis on his hands. Five ships, including a flattop, at the bottom of the South China Sea. Hundreds of USN sailors dead, many more hundreds as POW’s.

It’s 3 A.M., President Trump……what are you going to do? Check your Twitter account first while you’re dropping a deuce? Ragetweet about some actor who insulted you?
