In a way, I’m almost glad that hatred within religions blinds people to their common prejudices because of that. If the American Christian Right knew how much fanatical Muslims share their homophobia, sexism, and in some cases racism, they’d be in heaven.

Dinesh tried to do that that years ago in his book The Enemy at Home: The Cultural Left and Its Responsibility for 9/11, which blamed the left for the “justified” // outrage the Muslims felt against us. See goodreads.com
