Drive by here— Vambo, some unasked for advice:
don’t let yourself be baited, try to maintain calm, don’t make sweeping statements about the right without qualifying them up the wazoo. Try not to namecall unless someone has called you a name, and generally only once for every three times that person does it to you.

There are still some doublestandards here; lefties don’t get away with making sweeping statements about the right. Wingnuts (now) get called out (usually) for making sweeping statements about the left.

Don’t listen to people who tell you to go away, either.
And generally, remember that there is still a bias (as there is in all web communities) where newer posters are held to different standards than older ones.
Finally— most folk here are pretty great people. We can disagree totally on some political issues then find out we agree on others, and that’s pretty cool.
