He’s becoming an embarrassment to to Russians. They want him gone. Vlad is probably regretting even letting him get off the plane.

Vlad let him in at the time because he could use it to tweak our nose, earn him some street cred for being a supporter of “free speech.” But Snowden’s not going anywhere fast, he explicitly turned down the offer to seek asylum in Russia, and the damage he’s doing to relations is not easily overcome.

I think it’s going to eventually come down to Vlad saying “Fuck this” and putting him on the first plane out. Like him being somebody else’s problem.
