To be able to “teach new anger management skills during challenging situations.” That’s interesting.
The first people who called me back when I was first hunting for a teaching job about five years ago, were looking for classroom assistants to work with emotionally disturbed kids. “You’ll need to be able to assist with take-downs,” the woman explained perkily.
I said, in my best middle-aged Jewish lady voice, “Oh, dear, I don’t think I’m exactly your candidate.”
If I wanted to be assisting with take-downs, I would have applied to the police academy. And they would have given me a taser and a baton.
