It reminds me a lot of the die-hard partisans who refused to believe that Al Franken had won in Minnesota. Some of these poor, deluded fools still insist that he stole the election.

With these states, one voting machine one way or the other would not have made any difference. It is within the realm of possibility, when a few hundred votes are the margin, that something funny happened. Witness how many Democrats remain convinced that Gore “really” won Florida. That’s not insanity, because it’s inside the realm of the possible.
