And I disagree with you about the ability of the American public to make informed, intelligent decisions about their personal finances. That is the ONE thing that is NEVER taught to kids in school, and this new economic reality is going to take a lot of completely different approaches, which (as freetoken suggested) some consumer segments and age brackets have never been faced with before.

Bingo LOL, if Americans could make intelligent informed business decisions 2 things would have Happened A. Banks wouldn’t have alowed themselves to be bullied into making a lot of these sub prime loans(both Mortgages and Credit Cards(tho the cards weren’t forced)) and B. Americans would have never taken these loans they couldn’t reliably pay back based off the Used car salesmen, bankers, and CC companies telling em sure you can afford it.
