You are misunderstanding what Frum was saying. He’s saying the second phase of denial after losing an election is to call the electorate dumb, to externalize the fault. Frum didn’t say that the electorate was dumb, he’s saying the republican party is being dumb. If you can’t see that for yourself right now, you should take off those rosy shades.
