Here’s a little story to get you cork-dorks in a twist…

I brought a couple each of the Petite Syrah and the Zinfandel home with me for Christmas. My sister immediately put them on the front steps to chill (they’re reds).

It was -7 when I arrived in Northern Minnesota, and they were out there for several hours. We couldn’t even get a corkscrew into them for the first half-hour after I rescued them from the cold.

We live in a “soda-pop” culture. It is hard for some people to get their minds wrapped arround the idea that some things should be served at room temp.
