I was thinking that too. If Mubarak bails out it would be easy for the Muslim Brotherhood to paint the coptic church and Christians as enemies of the revolution. I imagine the decision to publicly support Mubarak was made with that in mind. I think it’s an indication of how seriously they fear the Muslim Brotherhood.

It’s been bad enough for the Christian community as is. If the MB comes to power, they’re gonna be in a bad place.
