You remember reading about stampedes for Wal-Mart Black Friday sale, or a mini-riot by parents when a store ran out of their kids’ ‘must have’ toy? That’s why the mall asks for mounted officers. Because as Alouette noted, they are excellent at crowd control.

Except not inside the store. Although it would be really cool to see horse cops inside a Walmart.
