What drives me particularly crazy is the ability of many conservatives to combine Christian faith with a complete lack of empathy for the poor and/or uninsured. At least they could be honest about their every man for himself philosophy.

Basically, they’ve all read Ayn Rand, and just like they do with the Bible, they’ve glossed over the parts they don’t like.

I always find it hilarious when people profess love for her books and philosophy and a deep Christian faith at the same time. Have they actually paid attention to any of what she said?
