Ah! An excellent analysis there my friend. Now I just hope China get’s IT’S shit together to rein in the NORKS cause Obama’s administration has said (and I think quite properly) that all NORK ships leaving NORK waters into international waters WILL be interdicted (stopped and searched) to try to prevent any stray nuckes from getting to Terrorists or unfriendly (to the US) regimes.
If we do that and NORK does unleash a massive artilllery barrage on the South, no doubt thousands of US troops will be casualties (and perhaps hundreds of thousands of South Koreans) and it would thereafter be “game on” for us.

If you were Japanese would you just be sitting on your ass at this point and waiting for the US to disarm NK, or would you instead be (unofficially/secretly) obtaining, building and deploying nukes as quickly as possible?
I think the latter.
Same thing for SK.
Anything less would be sheer idiocy on their part.
