So… Lady Antebellum won a whole lot of awards last night at the Grammy’s. Interesting turn our music industry is taking, awarding top honors to a musical group who’s very name celebrates the racist south, before the civil war.

Antebellum, latin for “before the war” as per Wiki ” Specifically, the era in the history of the United States after the American Revolution and the establishment of the U.S. as a sovereign nation, yet before the U.S. Civil War. “

The overt and covert racism in this country is running rampant. Everything from very public dismissals of our Presidents policies, to the clever, but not so hidden meaning of the name of a COUNTRY AND WESTERN group.
