I think it’s situational. Ironically enough, there’s a gay parents group in the Castro that’s ran a ‘clean Castro’ campaign for awhile to get people to consider that, now that a lot of gay couples had kids, the old frat-house atmosphere should be moderated slightly.

It’s a community thing, that ineffable local standards deal.

I’d say just put the hose on them, or a big bucket of water.
