We got that when we switched from Verizon to Sprint and ported our phone numbers. We switched back in 5 days because Sprints network here sucked. We finally had to get a lawyer to write cease and desist letters to both companies for cancellation fees. It took 6 months to get that crap off of our credit reports.

When I switched from AT&T to Verizon, AT&T hounded me for months for $1.37. They were after my husband for hundreds of dollars because they put in the wrong date for his contract termination. (He finally got it resolved for the appropriate amount, which was for 2 weeks of service.)

I have to say, my experience with live humans at Verizon has been excellent. Their website sucks, though, which is why I’m constantly calling the humans.
