Not that I doubt he was effectively doing this, but when did he “reveal” (overtly state?) this? I’d love a link, to wave at my Carter-enamored liberal acquaintances.

I meant, “revealed through his actions.” I.e. of inevitably meeting with and praising the Islamist/communist/anti-American side in any election race (as in this instance). Naturally, Carter would never come out and openly state “I prefer totalitarianism.”
