Good luck, and probably a good thing you’re doing it now and not after the new year (May 1). There is a new efficiency rule that would make it more difficult to do thru-chimney exhausts except under certain conditions - the newest high efficiency units require direct venting to the exterior (no more chimney venting required because the exhaust gases aren’t warm enough to push up and out - that’s how they get their efficiency). That could push your replacement costs higher due to possible relocation of components (if say your current furnace doesn’t allow for a direct venting).
