To say that making these kinds of claims undermines credibility is an understatement.
To me, this is one of the biggest failings of the Democratic campaign this year (OK, not much of a āfailingā, as the (D) ticket is still nominally well ahead) - not making the Administrationās (and especially the Presidentās) lack of credibility more of a campaign issue. Yes, we know that everyone expects Trump do do nothing but spout a bunch of minimally-credible bullshit, brag, bluster, misstatement and outright falsehood as a matter of course: but seriously, why is Team Biden not pushing the question of whether this is actually GOOD for the country as a whole*?
I realize the media may find it āboringā, but is it really such a negative to imagine a POTUS who might be accepted to tell the truth as a matter of course - with the occasional misstatement - rather than the other way round?
