What do you mean by this argument exactly?

That you have to have been in Vietnam at least 6 months before you could possibly have seen a warcrime?

I don’t mean anything by that.

All I’m saying is that a lot of the fuel against Kerry came about because he was only in combat for 4 months, testified in front of Congress as if he were an expert, etc. As to the substance of the testimony, I can’t say.

In any event, 4 months is not a whole lot of time. He also testified at the My Lai hearings, despite not having been there.
