I get it at the theatre all the time. Outright, in you face lies, simply because someone intends to get what they want, and they don’t give a damn how they are going to get it.

We have an open seating theatre. First come, first served, no “saving” of seats unless the partron(s) are actually in the facility. (There’s not a bad seat among the 136 seats anyway).

I will have someone trying to save a row of 8 seats, tell me their party is at our bar, when there is no one in the lounge, and their party is across the street finishing up supper.

But they will stand there, straight faced, it’s unbelievable.
