Very difficult for me to see the future… I’ll know better when it gets here :-) Inflation for now is not my immediate worry…

More pressing issues… one family member, self-employed, has had their business flat-line and is now desperately looking for employment. My own plans have been derailed (not due to the economy, but exacerbated by it.) Fortunately I don’t have to worry about getting an IOU from the State for tax refunds… instead I get to pay (wheeee!) California will soon be kiting checks… what happens when the fire season returns and their are no CDF because no-one got paid? Local police patrols have become rare (no gas money?) As I mentioned before, not long ago I was accosted on the street by someone asking for money (he only pushed me a bit, but he had to be desperate as I’m a health 6’1” 220lb male)… and so on.
