Ann Coulter is a writer and private citizen genius.

More to the point, she’s a “shock jock” who has literally built a career out of pushing people’s buttons.

We expect HER to be offensive, that’s her schtick.

We don’t expect the President of the USA to be so politically incorrect, and in fact we expect the exact opposite.

But again, this is the guy who thought the epitome of cool was to subtly extend his middle finger when speaking publically about his political opponent(s).
