So-called religious “nones” are 19% in South Carolina.
Nebraska is much more religiously diverse (if you’re Christian, anything else we’re less diverse than South Carolina).
“Nones” here are 20% though - far fewer identify as “atheist” than in South Carolina.
I would imagine Nebraska has a good amount of Lutherans and Catholics due to the many German immigrants that went there. Outside of Charleston, not really a lot of immigrants went to SC in the Industrial years.
