If Detroit’s rate of crime is exploding, then they are not serving the public interest. Cuts don’t work.
In essence, they’re making a bad situation worse.
They need stimulate growth, and they can start with rebuilding the city.

We were talking about control, not cuts. Detroit doesn’t like the strings that would be attached to additional state funding.
