A few days ago I wandered onto a Yahoo thread that allows others to respond to questions. Someone asked if it was now acceptable to attack gays, blacks, Hispanics/Latinos, and others one personally designates as “undesirables.” The general answer was, Yes,” and one response read, “That’s what the 2016 election was all about.” My fear is that these types of attacks will occur, and that law enforcement will refuse to arrest them, and attorney generals in some states will refuse to prosecute the offenders for committing these hate crimes. SMDH.

The “gay panic” defense is still very effective in many parts for people accused of gay/trans bashing.
