Got caught up on the Cohen (SEZ WHO) news this morning in my daily round up.

All I can think of is that 30 to 40 percent of this country, when presented with this news, will just simply ignore at as all lies.

I’m too young to remember Watergate*, but were conservatives behaving like this as the evidence against Nixon mounted?

No. There were those that said it wasn’t a big thing and wanted to protect Nixon, but there wasn’t a whole party bound and determined to hold on to the president at all costs.

Trump is by far dirtier than Nixon and that is becoming very clear.

And I am thinking the whole Republican party is also caught up in this. The Russian money must go a lot deeper than we know. There is also the connection of the Russians to the NRA then to Republican politicians.

This is getting bigger by the day. The problem is our country is obviously way more corrupted than in the 70s. Nixon didn’t have the rabid support from the likes of the wingnuts.
