I understand what you’re saying but trump isn’t bush and what trump is doing to the US is by far and away worse than bush. Bush at least had a large amount of allied support. Obama didn’t have to do much bridge building except for being the decent human being he is. What we have to repair now is exponentially worse and more difficult…if possible at all. How do we tell allies that this won’t happen again? This is what the next person has to deal with.

And I don’t think them “knowing” the leaders is going to help much honestly. Many of the countries might have new leaders themselves too. How much does Joe “know” Macron?
