Hmmm…. where’d the Lockerbie bomber go? He’s fallen off the face of the earth, despite a requirement to remain in contact with Scottish authorities on a regular basis:

The whereabouts of Adbdul Baset Ali al-Megrahi, convicted by a Scottish court in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, remain unknown after he couldn’t be contacted Tuesday night at home or in the hospital where he is being treated, The London Times reported.

Scottish Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill ignited international outrage when he released Megrahi in August on humanitarian grounds because the 57-year-old is suffering from terminal prostate cancer.

Megrahi returned to Libya to a hero’s welcome.

Some 270 people died in the bombing of the New York-bound Pan Am jet under less than humanitarian conditions when the airliner exploded shortly after takeoff from London’s Heathrow Airport on Dec. 21, 1988.

As a condition of his controversial release, Megrahi was ordered to check in with a member of the local Scottish town council with twice-monthly phone calls. The terms of his release also called for him to remain at his home address or at the hospital where he is being treated, both in Tripoli.

So, what is he (and Khadafi) up to? No one knows, but I surely don’t trust either of them.
