Particularly entertaining is when I bring home pizza. My poor feline overlord cannot decide whether to attack me, with the cheesy bread product, or the Mrs. Fish, who always orders chicken wings when we get pizza.

My general solution is to feed the cats before I start cooking, or while the pizza (well, calzone and garlic bread) is still enroute. That tends to take the edge off their enthusiasm.

Backup plan is laying a minefield of freshly picked catnip leaves.
