re: #424 Stonemason

I have seen this a couple of times now and it confuses me. The TP is the end of the Republican party, so strong that it will drive it into the dirt, so many republicans are TP’ers…on and on. Now you claim it is a small movement.
At the same time, when ever I bring up all the left wing fringers that protested Bush and helped change congress/elect Obama, I am told that there really were not that many of them, yet here you say there were hundreds of thousands at marches.

Now, I know that you personally, are not the one who says (types) these things to me, you just happened to present the exact opposite of what many have posted here.

Hence my confusion. Is the TP meaningful or not? Were the fringe lefties meaningful or not?

Code Pink is fringe. But all people who walk in anti-war rallies? Not necessarily.

But I think KT might have slipped in minimizing the TP. There are a lot of angry white right-leaning populists out there—angry over the economy, angry over losing the elections of 2006 and 2008, angry about rapid cultural changes, and angry that Obama is, uh, not a citizen.
