I’m of two minds about this. On one hand, consistency is always appreciated, just as a matter of principle. On the other hand, Twitter, as a private company, doesn’t have to be consistent. It’s their right to ban whoever they choose on whatever laughable - or respectable - pretexts.
Also, it’s not a public utility, it’s a site about sending 140-character messages. Sometimes it can be important, but: meh. It’s like a storm in a teacup.
