I’m all about structure.

I impose structure later, as a necessity

pictures must be cropped, songs must resolve to the key note, drums gotta be perfect, stories must be edited

But thats like later, that’s haver creativity is done.

step 1) create something solid, without a lot of mystery

2) create some more, save your work, play with what you made and take it in wild directions, experiment and discover

step 3) fix it so the bruises don’t show, make it nice enough to the client so you get paid

That’s been how it is for me since I waw 9 years old, for art, for playing in metal bands, for writing, for whatever
