A very common use of racism is to display one person of a particular race/nationality/religion/ethnicity and then claim “They’re all like that!” Or to quote a line or an article from some publication that caters to said group and claim “That’s what they all think!”

Corollary: to quote from some article in a publication that caters to said group, which is critical of said group, while loudly proclaiming “This proves I can’t be bigoted against said group, because THEIR OWN MEDIA SOURCE said it!”
