Today I am struck with something slightly different: if my grandmother were alive today, she would have turned 110. She lived through WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and many other events including the recreation of Israel.

I can’t help but think that she would have considered Israel’s actions in Gaza as yet another reasonable reaction to yet another stupid idea in a long line of stupid moves on the part of Hamas and other terrorist organizations—to try and pick on a state as capable as Israel is on completely destroying what they set out to destroy. And yet, Hamas thinks they are in the right! How it boggles the mind. I could just see my grandmother shake her head in sadness at the stupidity of some people.
