Think that’s what a lot of this excuse-making is, the realization that Romney’s flagging chances may actually hurt the GOP down the ticket. They’re trying to jettison him in order to salvage any chance of a Senate majority or larger House majority.

And yet they pretend to support him? Craven assholes. They should protect themselves by pledging to work with President Obama…or wind up without jobs themselves, wich is fine with me…
