Here comes a cliche, but support for the troops and support for the purpose(s) of individual war(s) are two different things.

For whatever reason, some people can’t process a difference between (1) the wisdom/morality of a particular war and (2) the health/well being of the warriors’ families.

There’s plenty of good faith support and opposition regarding each instance of (1). But who on earth opposes (2)?
