Worse, actually. Even I am shocked at what he believes. What makes it especially bizarre is that he is a long-time veteran and once used to be quite savvy about the world. A few years ago he got a computer for the first time in his life, and now he believes every crazed lie and conspiracy theory on the Internet. He has no “internal Web nonsense filter,” being too old to have developed one. By chance, he fell into the moobatopshere online, and he been plummeting into the spiraling madness ever since.

Not too long ago you would see older folks fall for every UFO and Elvis sighting printed in the National Enquirer. It’s just a different venue for craziness to be disbursed. I used to dread going to my in-laws because they would have that paper highlighted and dog-eared and discuss in detail and loudly all that garbage.

I just drank more more wine and tuned them out.
