Now that I think about it, I’m looking forward to the 2012 Republican campaign to “remove the Czars”.
I hope it’s their national slogan. That should produce some absurdist historical parallels.

Hard not to draw the parallels with everything being a czar this and a czar that. Is there a Rasputin in there somewhere? Didn’t W create czarist positions - the drug czar? My poor memory - how quickly we forget. I’m surprised we don’t have offended Russians protesting over the “czar” titles.
