The whole this is being orchestrated by the far-right “Conservative Caucus” group founded by conspiracy loon Howard Phillips, who on their webpage link to such illustrious groups as the Young Americans for Freedom, John Birch Society, and VDARE. They also made the news a couple of years ago when they were pushing for local police to go door-to-door in the Dallas suburb of Farmers Branch, TX to verify that all people living there were legal residents of the US.

As for what they’re up in arms about?
On June 5, if you order a pizza from Pizza Patron’ with the words “Pizza por favor”, you get a free pepperoni pizza.

Oh that’s what their upset about? Jesus Christ this is even more dumb than I thought it would be. Phillips FWIW was the 2000 Constitution Party nominee.
