I don’t know what the controversy is all about. It seems that some have an image of figures that they admire; when confronted by a counter narrative i.e. the person is gay or a philanderer -they reject it as false in order to preserve their memory.

It is often never mentioned in the African American community that Malcolm X had homosexual experiences.
