SCOTUS 8-1 ruling with only Justice Alito dissenting, and following the Florida Supreme Court’s broader employment of retroactivity doctrine the ruling may, or may not Florida’s entire death row.

I guess it should come as no surprise that Alito is the sole dissenting vote, considering in the majority opinion on a case last summer on the usage of second-rate lethal injection drugs, he actually argued that lethal injection should be painful because capital punishment is supposed to be painful.
