That to. Not sure what makes people’s empathy/sympathy erode. Entitlement, social ossification, etc.

(Person I had the short exchange with about Flippy and $15/hour worked in a Wendy’s in college. You’d think they’d have a bit of empathy for fast-food workers, but I guess not. Though it might also be the “I got by on $3.35/hour in my day, they can make do on that as well!” adage which seems to be a standard conservative mantra. I have never accepted that particular approach, especially after seeing it used as a defense for hazing.)
