Kerry served from 1966-1970. After that time he started his anti-war activism. I don’t know where you got that.
As to the POW hearings, McCain also was skeptical that there were any POWs left behind, but you don’t hear about that.

His family investing in Vietnam, I never heard, but it what does that have to do with it? He was a soldier who enlisted himself, not drafted.
I believe he was in theater with River Boats for 4 months. He left that duty because he was entitled to, having received three Purple Hearts.
I was making a statement as to why I believed Kerry received such a hard time.
A lot of eyes went wide when his family did get that huge reals estate/development deal in Vietnam. For a lot of people, that sealed the deal with Kerry as far as they were concerned.
McCain received little flack because of his record- very different than Kerry’s.
