Agreed. From the POV of the film, tho, it seems like it might be a better angle to attack it. Darwin went in with a preconceived idea of what he wanted to find and made up a buncha crap to support what he wanted to find. Not sure how that’d sell, but it wouldn’t take making up things like him being a racist, so seems like a more logical place to start…although look who we’re talking about. Logic perhaps isn’t their strong suit.

Ah. Very good point. For an audience not familiar with the fine points of the scientific method, that could definitely be used as a distraction. And probably will be.
